Oukitel RT3 an Android tablet that can turn things around

Readers familiar with my many rugged Android reviews will recognize the RT3.

The Oukitel RT3 is an upscaled rugged Android smartphone. The tab is well protected from bumps and knocks. Try to drop it on its side or back, since the front display offers a lot of potential impact area.

With a 16-megapixel rear camera and an 8-megapixel front camera, this device is fine for social media snaps and video calls, but doesn't come close to the quality of an iPhone or a top-tier Android device.

Although the cameras are fine for social media photos, they lack the punch and clarity of an iPhone or a higher-end Android device.

Because of its ruggedness, it can survive things my iPad Pro couldn't. The device meets IP68, IP69K, and MIL-STD-810G standards, which means it can be submerged in water for 30 minutes, subjected to high-pressure water jets and steam cleaning, and dropped from heights of 1.2m. Additionally, it is resistant to dust and acid spills, and it can survive low-pressure environments that can cause damage to other devices.

A $200 device should perform as expected from a performance standpoint. Although it's fine, it doesn't have that snappy feel of a high-end device. You may find this a bit clunky if you're used to an iPhone or a top-tier Android phone. Despite that, it still does everything I need it to, so I'm not bothered by its lack of buttery smoothness.

As a whole, the Oukitel RT3 is a solid investment for a garage, workshop area, or outdoor use. First responders can also use it. RT3 is a tough, cheap, and reliable device.
